Hardware Drivers

AVT Cameras

WARNING: The standard settings for Vimba are NOT SUFFICIENT for using AVT cameras with MatchID Grabber. You must Install the software as “Application Development”.

Download

The driver can be downloaded from the AVT website or from our portal under “Drivers” (named “Vimba_v2.11_Windows.exe”). The minimum version is vimba 2.1.

Instructions

  1. Choose the correct path of installation. It is adviced to install the drivers on the same drive as MatchID Grabber is installed.
  2. Select “Application Development” as installation type. Click Start to start installation.
  3. Keep Install Vimba Drivers selected. Hit exit to continue the installation.
  4. Please Click “Install” for each driver asked during installation.
  5. To verify whether the software is installed properly, please restart you system and open the Vimba Viewer to check your devices. If the devices are not detected properly, Please make sure cameras have power and are connected properly. The video can be checked by double-clicking on the camera and pressing the “play” icon.

FireWire Cameras

Warning: This step is only needed when using Firewire Cameras.

Please Download the FireWire drivers from our Portal (named “VimbaTool.exe”). Run the installer and follow the proposed steps. Please note, you must run the application as Administrator.

Also make sure you have installed the drivers for your FireWire card (for this we refer to the manufacturer of your firewire card). Check the correct working of the FireWire card in the device manager (type “devmgmt.msc” in the control panel).


FLIR Cameras (PointGrey)

Please download the correct drivers from the Flir dowload page or from our portal (named “SpinnakerSDK_FULL_1.1.0.43_x64.exe”).

Run the drivers as administrator and accept the license agreement. Click on “Application development” and next.

Now make sure the GigE and USB drivers, as well as the visual studio files are selected before clicking next.

Phantom Cameras

Uninstall

Please make sure all previous versions of MatchID Highspeed Grabber and Phantom PCC are uninstalled before installing any new drivers/programs.

Download

The phantom driver can be downloaded from our portal under “Drivers” (named “PCC 3.0.770.0-Install.zip”). The minimum version is PCC 3.0.

Installation

Please make sure all previous versions of MatchID Highspeed Grabber and Phantom PCC are uninstalled. Unzip “PCC 3.0.770.0-Install.zip” and run “PCC_3.0.770.0_Setup.exe”. Follow the instructions to finish the installation.

Instal MatchID Highspeed Grabber by downloading and running the installer from the our portal under “Software/Current Release”.

National Instruments

WARNING: The standard settings for NI-DAQmx are NOT SUFFICENT for using NI-DAQ with MatchID Grabber. You must reinstall the driver following the installation steps below.

Download

The DAQmx driver can be downloaded from the NI website or from our portal (named “NIDAQ1550f1.exe”). The minimum version is DAQ-mx 15.5.

Instructions

  1. Choose the correct path of installation. It is adviced to install the drivers on the same drive as MatchID Grabber is installed.
  2. Choose the Custom Installation.
  3. Activate all .NET Frameworks under NI-DAQmx > Application Development support
  4. To activate a framework, click the down arrow add select ‘Install this feature on the local drive’.
  5. Carefully read the License agreement. You must accept these terms to start the installation.
  6. To verify whether the software is installed properly, please restart you system and open the National Instruments Test panel to check your device. Under “start > National Instruments > NI-DAQ > Examples” you should see DotNET folder. If not, you did not correctly added the .Net features

.Net Framework

The .Net driver can be downloaded from the Microsoft website The minimum version is .Net 4.6.1.
