Fabrice Pierron

Prof. Pierron’s research interests are in experimental solid mechanics; he specializes in imaging the mechanical deformation of materials. He has championed the Virtual Fields Method (VFM) over the years, an inverse technique fully adapted to the exploitation of full-field maps of deformation to extract material constitutive parameters. Prof. Pierron is co-founder of MatchID, bringing the VFM-technology to MatchID’s solution stack.

In the ever diminishing free time that Fabrice has, he likes to play the classical guitar and to go through his own meditation procedure which involves jigsaw puzzles and 70s progressive rock music.
